Is the Law of Attraction and prayer the same thing? This is a common question that has a somewhat complicated answer. The simple answer is yes AND no.
Yes, it is like prayer. We are asking God or the Universe to bring things into our lives. We do it quietly and internally. We can see the results of what we asked for. We have a belief that what we asked for will be answered. We can ask for anything our heart desires.
No, it is different than prayer. Prayer is a conversation, which is sometimes one way or two way. Prayer requires faith, the Law of Attraction requires belief. Prayer is not always goal centered. It can be just a conversation or even a pleading. The deliberate use of the Law of Attraction is about alignment and manifestation.
Can prayer and Law of Attraction coexist? Absolutely. One does not exclude the other. The Law of Attraction does not require any commitment to a faith. It does require us to remain positive and focused. They both acknowledge a power greater than ourselves at work. Prayer and Law of Attraction can actually work synergistically.
While this only scratches the surface of this question, it provides a place to start. What do you say when people ask you, “Isn't the Law of Attraction the same as prayer?”

I think they are one in the same except for the fact that the law of attraction to me is a state of being. It is making our mind and body and spirit align in a common goal. Prayer is the asking, the thanking, the believing part!

Absolutely, so much can be said about it.
Sometimes when people 'pray' it is from a place of need and their vibration is at that place and they attract more of the same. When in a place of gratitude or appreciation (about ANYTHING, what's important is the thought/feeling/vibration, not what it is about), and they say a 'prayer' (or whatever word you want to use for that (wink)) then they attract more of the same, and 'God' (or whatever word you want to use (wink)) is with them

Hi Eva,
I got this post via the Google Alert.
Good point about the difference between the law of attraction and prayer. I agree with you.
Since I discovered the power of our subconscious mind, that it has 95% working power, and our conscious mind has 5%, I started to work on my subconscious mind diligently and intentionally.
I found that without getting to the root issue of our mind, via the subconscious level, no matter what we do, eg things like:
* Affirmation
* Thinking positive
* Try to be upbeat
* Try to be happy
* Try to be calm
* Even try to pray and connecting
to the Higher Source.
All those things will not have much lasting
effect until our conscious mind is congruent with our subconscious level.
That means, spring cleaning, altering, reprogramming has to be done first, before
everything else will fall into place.
That's the reason why I am so passionate about bring forth this message via my blog
